Some projects (such as building or subdivision) may be required to have a geotechnical report complete. The requirement for this report depends on many factors, including the existing land conditions and the size/scale of a project. The Planning and Development Services Department will advise if your project requires a geotechnical report.
A geotechnical report (the “report”) is required to confirm that the land may be used safely for the use intended without creating an unnecessary risk of hazards. The Report must be completed at the cost of the applicant by a qualified professional.
