If you own a rental property with two units and you do not live in one of the units OR if you own a rental property with more than two units, you must obtain an Accommodation Business Licence.
ONE Accommodation Business Licence is required if you own one property with any number units (unless two units and you live in one of the units) or multiple properties and each property has two to four units. Additional Accommodation Business Licences are required for each property with five or more units.

Property owners may complete the form below, and upload all required documentation, or complete the printable version to bring to City Hall with copies of all required documentation.
Payment is not currently accepted online for new business licences. Business owners may pay in person (cash, debit, cheque) at City Hall, or may call City Hall to arrange a bank transfer (250-992-2111).
All business licences expire on December 31st of the current year. Renewal notices are mailed in December for the following year to the current address we have on file for the property owner.
