We’re surrounded by nature. Whatever the season, outdoor recreation is endless. Bring your mountain bike, hiking shoes, kayaks, skis or snowshoes and #explorequesnel.
Your canine friends are welcome in many of our parks. Please keep them on a leash and scoop up that poop! Waste bags are available at several of our parks, courtesy of the City of Quesnel. Sugarloaf Dog Park is our off-leash dog park.
If the outdoors isn’t your thing, or the weather isn’t cooperating, there’s still lots of things you can do! Visit the largest free-span turf building in BC, tour the Quesnel & District Museum & Archives or go for a swim or sauna at our Arts & Recreation Centre.
Embark on a self-guided walking tour downtown, or stop by the Quesnel & District Museum & Archives for a guided tour. You can even shop for local, handcrafted goods in the oldest standing building in Quesnel.
Our parks and playgrounds are located throughout the city, boasting new structures and loads of green space to run and play. You’ll want to pack snacks so you can stay a while!
From paved, scenic trails conveniently located downtown to rugged, technical trails in lush green forest, we have trails for days! Winter doesn’t stop us. We have designated cross-country ski trails and our multi-use trails offer great winter recreation.
