First Nations

Quesnel is located in the central interior of British Columbia, where we recognize and honour the long-standing and ongoing connection of the Southern Dakelh and Tsilhqot'in Peoples to this region; the territory of the Lhtako Dene, Nazko, Lhoosk'uz Dené, and ʔEsdilagh Nations.

On June 20, 2017, the City of Quesnel and Lhtako Dene Nation entered into a Memorandum of Understanding [PDF/0.9MB] to attest to their mutual commitment to promote cooperative relationship building.
