City Council has the ability to provide Property Tax Permissive Exemption for properties and facilities owned by certain non-profit organizations as permitted under Section 224 of the Community Charter. The criteria for these exemptions are outlined in the City of Quesnel Policy – CCR12-Permissive Property Tax Exemptions.
Applications are due yearly at City Hall by July 31 to be considered during this review.
Most exemptions are for multiple years, and the non-profit organization will be contacted when their exemption expires, and a new application is required.
