The City of Quesnel (The City) and the Cariboo Regional District (CRD) are seeking a consultant to provide a feasibility study for the potential construction of an indoor court facility in Quesnel.
In the past five years Quesnel has seen significant growth in the sport of pickleball. The City recently converted a number of underutilized tennis courts to accommodate pickleball. The Pickleball Club currently plays year-round using community halls and school gymnasiums in the winter. There is a growing interest for a purpose-built multi-purpose indoor court facility that will accommodate the needs of pickleball, as well as other court sports such as tennis, badminton, and basketball.
