The prohibited activities include:

- All Category 2 and 3 open fires: burning waste, slash or other materials
- Fireworks and firecrackers
- Sky Lanterns
- Burn Barrels or Burn Cages of any size or description
- Binary Exploding Targets

The ban doesn't apply to outdoor stoves that, as per the Wildfire Regulation, are CSA-rated or ULC-rated devices used for cooking, heat or ambiance that burns charcoal briquettes, liquid fuel or gaseous fuel and has a flame height that is less than 15 cm tall.
