There is currently a Heat Warning (alert level 1) in effect for our region, posing a moderate risk to public health. For those vulnerable to heat, please take precautions and refer to our new Heat Alert Response Plan webpage for information.
The following City facilities are open to the public and provide a place to cool down if you're seeking relief from the heat:
West Fraser Centre: Open 8 am - 4 pm, Monday to Friday
Quesnel Arts & Recreation Centre: Open 5:30 am - 10 pm, Monday to Friday; 8:30 am - 9 pm, Saturday; 10 am - 9 pm, Sunday
In the event that Environment Canada issues an Extreme Heat Emergency (alert level 2), the City will open an additional cooling centre.
