The Province of British Columbia has placed restrictions on adult and youth indoor and outdoor team sports. These temporary restrictions are in place to limit the amount of physical interactions to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 and will be in place until further notice OR until further guidance is given.
The order states that all indoor and outdoor sports for people 19 years of age and older are suspended. Due to this, the West Fraser Centre and Arena 2 will be suspending all adult hockey sport users effective immediately; including adult shinney hockey.
All organized indoor and outdoor sports for people under 19 years of age must follow viaSport's Return to Sport Phase 2 guidance with respect to maintaining physical distance for participants. This means games, tournaments and competitions are temporarily suspended for teams but individual drills and modified training activities can continue.
Walking track, Public Skating and Noon Hour skating are still able to continue at this time. We are asking public to wear masks at all times for these activities.
