Delegation - Quesnel Economic Development Strategy
Representatives from Lions Gate Consulting and Peak Solutions Consulting Inc. joined Council to share highlights of the 2025 - 2029 Quesnel Economic Development Strategy.
The five-year workplan aligns with Council's strategic priorities and will support the City's planning efforts through current economic challenges by focusing on business development, sector innovation and destination development.
Council endorsed the strategy and directed staff to work towards implementation of the initiatives and to pursue funding opportunities as they become available.

Council approved:
- DVP2025-77 - Development variance permit request to construct an accessory building in front of the principal building at 3760 Gook Road.
UBCM Convention provincial ministry meeting requests
Council determined their priorities and directed staff to submit requests for minister meetings at the Union of BC Municipalities convention in September.

Correspondence
- May 23/25 - The Ministry of Housing and Municipal Affairs is considering legislative amendments to expand the circumstances in which local government council meetings can be closed to the public, to support municipalities in fostering government-to-government relationships and advancing reconciliation.
- May 25/25 - Council provided a resolution of support to Our Blood Counts - Plasma for Northern BC to establish a blood plasma donor centre in Prince George.

- June 14 - Parade at noon starting at City Hall, leading to LeBourdais Park for the Pride flag raising and events in the park.
