Build a carriage house this spring and save with pre-reviewed designs. Last spring, the City engaged a designer and the community to create five pre-reviewed designs for carriage houses and secondary dwelling units that reduce costs for homeowners and expedite the building permit process.

Thinking about building this spring or summer?

The designs are available at no cost for residents of Quesnel and the Cariboo Regional District Fringe Area. And, if you are one of the first 15 people to apply for a building permit using one of the designs, the City will waive your building permit fees. This offer lasts until October 31, 2023.

Building permits will be expedited within three business days when using these designs and are valid for two years. For CRD residents, please contact the Williams Lake planning department.
