The City of Quesnel Utilities Department will run its annual fire hydrant and water main flushing program starting on Monday, September 23, 2019 for approximately three weeks. This will occur from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
| September 23, 24, 25 | Johnston and Carson Subdivisions |
| September 26, 27 | South Quesnel |
| September 30 and October 1 | Two and Three Mile Flat |
| October 2, 3, 4 | West Quesnel west of Baker Creek and Uplands |
| October 7, 8 | West Quesnel east of Baker Creek |
| October 9, 10, 11 | Downtown and North Quesnel |
Hydrant and water main flushing causes turbidity in the City’s water system. Residents should expect, and be prepared for, discoloured water. If you experience this, leave a cold water tap running until the water returns to normal.
