The National Day of Truth and Reconciliation is taking place on September 30, 2023, to commemorate the legacy of residential schools; to honour those who were lost and the survivors, families, and communities who continue to grieve. The City of Quesnel will also be observing this important occasion. Please see the list of closures and adjusted hours for the facilities below:
- Landfill – Closed, on Saturday, September 30. Reopens at 8:00 a.m., Sunday, October 1.
- Museum – Closed, on Saturday, September 30.
- The Arts and Recreation Centre will be open from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm.
- Public Works Facility – Closed, on Monday, October 2.
- City Hall – Closed, on Monday, October 2.
- Arenas – all public programs are running as scheduled.
- Garbage collection remains unaffected.
