The Cariboo Regional District, City of Williams Lake and City of Quesnel are partnering to host a series of local government leadership workshops across the region ahead of the upcoming local government election cycle.
Facilitated by Christina Benty of Strategic Leadership Solutions Inc., the workshops are open to residents interested in learning more about local government, community leadership, and the role elected officials play in shaping local communities.
The sessions are intended for potential candidates, engaged citizens, and anyone interested in gaining a better understanding of how local government works.
Topics will include:
- Roles and responsibilities of local government and elected officials
- Leadership and decision-making in local government
- Considerations for people thinking about running for office
- Community engagement and informed participation
- Long-term planning and sustainable leadership
