ANNUAL MONITORING REPORT

The groundwater monitoring program is completed on an annual basis and is required by the British Columbia Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy. This program focuses on monitoring the groundwater surrounding the Quesnel landfill to prevent groundwater contamination resulting from landfill activities.

Monitoring wells are installed close to the landfill allowing us to assess the quality of the groundwater. Regular testing and analysis are conducted to identify any potential hazardous chemicals or substances in the groundwater.

The Landfill Groundwater Monitoring Program keeps surrounding ecosystem and drinking water sources safe.
