Recognizing volunteers in the community

Volunteer Recognition Program

Without the ongoing dedication of our many volunteers, Quesnel would not be able to offer the incredible diversity of amenities, events, sports and cultural activities, and support programs that our multitude of volunteer organizations and individuals offer all year round.

The Volunteer Recognition Program shines a monthly spotlight upon a dedicated group, society, and/or organization that has made great volunteer contributions and efforts in the community. This recognition process is a great way for the community to come together and celebrate all volunteers throughout the year.

We would like to hear from you!

  • Do you know or are you part of an outstanding volunteer organization or group that works tirelessly to make our community a special place and who deserves recognition?
  • Has a volunteer organization had a positive impact on your life?

If your answer is yes, please take the time to fill out a recognition form. Nominations for recognition can be made by a person, group or corporation.

Help us celebrate the people who make our community a more vibrant place to live through their personal investment of time and energy into the things they are passionate about. You have the power to nominate and identify those who will be celebrated.

The City of Quesnel thanks the past Quesnel Volunteer Citizen of the Year Committee and the Quesnel Cariboo Observer for their support and hard work throughout the years. In the past, the City of Quesnel has recognized a Volunteer Citizen of the Year (VCoY) through a nomination process and awards dinner. This community-based nomination process recognized individuals (or on occasion couples and groups) who had dedicated themselves to serving the community in a volunteer capacity.
