Open House and Public Hearing on Wednesday, December 13th, 2017 regarding proposed amendments to the Official Community Plan No.1630, 2007 and Zoning Bylaw No.1662, 2009.

AMENDMENT BYLAW NO.1829 & ZONING AMENDMENT BYLAW NO. 1830
A proposal to develop a supportive housing facility on Elliott Street has been received (location map). The new “supportive housing” use is to provide a range of accommodations from emergency shelter to independent housing operated by a government agency or non-profit society that provides a range of on-site supports to residents such as life-skills training, connections to primary health care, mental health or substance abuse services.
An open house was held on August 15, 2017 for this proposal with a subsequent Public Hearing on September 18, 2017. Since these events, further information on facility operations was requested from BC Housing. A new open house and public hearing are now scheduled.

Written submissions regarding the proposed amendments may be submitted to City Hall to the attention of Gina Albers (firstname.lastname@example.org) by 12:00 pm Thursday, December 7, 2017 to be included in the Public Hearing agenda. Oral and written submissions may also be received at the December 13, 2017 Public Hearing. No further information or representations from the public can be considered by City Council after the Public Hearing has been terminated.
The development plans, proposed amending bylaws, and further information may be inspected at City Hall, 410 Kinchant Street, Quesnel, B.C. V2J 7J5 between 8:30 am -12:00 pm and 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
