City of Quesnel to Host the Let’s Connect Community Tour on September 18th

QUESNEL - Reconnect with your community after many months apart at the Let’s Connect Community Tour on September 18th from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., presented by the City of Quesnel. The event begins at Spirit Square where residents can take part in fun activities, enjoy live music, and snack on delicious treats from local food vendors.

The Let’s Connect Community Tour is a chance for the City of Quesnel to highlight the many major projects and initiatives that were completed over the last two years. Residents will have opportunities to participate in a city-wide tour with stops at each of the project locations to learn more and test their knowledge for a chance to win amazing City of Quesnel prize packages.

“I am looking forward to showcasing our citywide projects and initiatives to the community,” said Mayor Bob Simpson. “This is a great way for our residents to explore all of the beneficial projects that have been completed over the past two years and all of the upcoming projects that we have planned.”

Featured projects and initiatives include: Sprout Kitchen, the Wonderland and Fuel Management Trail Systems, the Alive After Five initiative and many more. The event also serves as the official launch for the City’s new engagement tool, www.quesnel.ca/letsconnect, which will provide residents with updates on new initiatives, offer an opportunity to give immediate feedback and have questions answered. Community involvement and resident feedback are important steps in the City’s process for decision making, planning and project implementation.

“Our new engagement tool will enable us to talk with our community and gain insights about major initiatives.  We look forward to the community’s input as we continue to work towards making Quesnel an attractive place for residents, visitors and businesses,” said Deputy City Manager, Kari Bolton.
