Elliott Street Supportive Housing

BC Housing proposes to build a supportive housing development on the vacant land at
353/361/375 Elliott Street in Quesnel.

BC Housing cancelled the December 13, 2017 Public Hearing in order to put out a Request for Proposal (RFP) inviting qualified non-profit societies to submit proposals to operate the proposed supportive housing project. See BC Housing’s Information Bulletin for more information.

Since the December 13, 2017 Public Hearing cancellation, the proposal has significantly changed. The proposal no longer includes emergency shelter use (short stay), nor extreme weather response use (short stay during extreme weather events). The proposal is for a total of 32 units of independent supportive housing units.

You can present your views of this revised proposal for Council’s consideration at the upcoming Public Hearing on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at City Council Chambers, City Hall.

Written submissions regarding the proposed amendments may be submitted to City Hall to the attention of Gina Albers (galbers@quesnel.ca) by 12:00 pm Thursday, May 24, 2018 to be included in the Public Hearing agenda. Be advised that all submissions into this process are public information. Oral and written submissions for Council's consideration may also be received at the May 30, 2018 Public Hearing. No further information or representations from the public can be considered by City Council after the Public Hearing has been terminated.
