Why did you choose to run for Council?
Having been a volunteer in many different aspects, this seemed like the best way to give back to my community.
What are your priorities or goals for the City of Quesnel?
I want to see the City of Quesnel moving forward in a positive and progressive manner in this time of transition. We have the ability to be sustainable and thriving and the amount of projects the current City Council has in progress is proof of this. My original priority in this, my second term in office, was to address the budget concerns of our City. With that hard work being done, the savings accrued and funding put towards capital reinvestment projects. I believe Quesnel is in a good place to continue to move forward.
What Council committees do you currently sit on?
- Executive Committee
- Tourism and Marketing
What other community groups are you currently a member of?
- Quesnel Kangaroos Senior Men's Hockey
What makes you proud to live in Quesnel?
Quesnel is a beautiful, friendly community that offers every outdoor opportunity that I need as well as a number of thriving business areas.
What's your favourite place to experience nature in Quesnel?
My favourite outdoor asset would have to be Dragon Lake. As a fly fishing business owner/operator, the opportunity to have a lake with 15 lb rainbow trout in City limits was just too tempting! It continues to challenge and please me every year, and in every season!
