Green Spaces, Parks and Recreation Master Plan

Click here to view the most recent draft of the Green Spaces, Parks and Recreation Master Plan.

Thank you Quesnel for engaging in the initial planning of our first Green Spaces, Parks and Open Space Recreation Master Plan!

A summary of the survey results conducted in March can be viewed here. The raw data results can be viewed here.

Quesnel will continue to move forward on the initiation of the Green Spaces, Parks and Open Space Recreation Master Plan. The Plan will inventory and classify the City’s existing park land, guide policy development and decision making towards a sustainable city-wide vision for parks and open space recreation, and develop a strategic direction for Green Space, Parks and Open Space Recreation for the next 10 years to move us towards that vision.

Stay tuned for updates on the progress of this Master Plan. Information will be posted here.

ourQuesnel: Sustainability in Action process has reached a major milestone

The ourQuesnel: Integrated Community Sustainability Plan was recently finalized and endorsed by Council. The document provides a vision for a successful and sustainable future; describes the community’s priorities for success in the long term; and maps out a series of strategy areas that contain actions of how to reach that sustainable future.
