Annual Hydrant and Water Main Flushing Program

The City of Quesnel Utilities Department will run its annual fire hydrant and water main flushing program starting on Monday, August 29 for approximately three weeks. This will occur from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Hydrant and water main flushing causes turbidity in the City’s water system. Residents should expect, and be prepared for, discoloured water. If you experience this, leave a cold water tap running until the water returns to normal.

For more information contact the Utilities Department at 250-992-6330. The City thanks you for your cooperation during this important annual maintenance program.
