DEVELOPMENT

The Mission of the Planning and Development Services Department is to provide excellent customer service by providing timely and accurate planning and building inspection services to the general public and development community. The department guides the overall development vision of the City to protect and enhance the area's natural and man-made environment, its economic base and its neighbourhoods to achieve a high quality of life.

The Department's responsibilities include Land Use Planning, Building Inspection, and Mapping (GIS).

You are encouraged to discuss your proposed development with the development services department prior to submitting applications to discuss the application process and requirements.

The following information applies to properties in Quesnel City Limits only; if you are outside of City limits, please contact the Cariboo Regional District for building or planning information.
