QUESNEL CITY COUNCIL> Michael Cave

Second-term Councillor Mike Cave was born and raised right here in Quesnel. This Quesnel Secondary School graduate has a love for his community. As an outdoor enthusiast, you’ll often see him walking, hiking and running; taking advantage of all the scenery our community has to offer.

Councillor Cave has an extensive work history in the forest industry. He’s driven all manner of trucks, from chips to logs, and currently works in a local sawmill.

It was Councillor Cave’s lifelong ambition to get involved in politics. He realized that goal in November 2008 at the age of 29, saying he wanted to get involved in a meaningful way in our community; to be a participant rather than simply a spectator.

Councillor Cave is chair of the West Quesnel Land Stability Advisory Committee, chair of the Environmental Advisory Committee, and a representative on Council’s Audit Committee.
